In 2022, Mayor Dickens launched strategic efforts to invest in Atlanta’s children, youth, and young adults. The 2022 Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP), surpassed the mayor’s goals. Atlanta’s business, philanthropic and community-based organizations rallied to “put 3,000 teens to work this summer through our Summer Youth Employment Program.”
